DESCRIPTION:OPEN MIC NIGHT – Showcase your talent in a fun\, casual\, and uplifting environment at Gallivan!\nThursday\, October 23rd from 6:30-8:30 PM\, sign up for a timeslot to show off your talent for the first ever Gallivan Center OPEN MIC NIGHT. From vocalists\, instrumentalists\, comedians\, poetry writers\, and more\, you are welcome! \nSimply email jessica.ribbens@slc.gov to request a time slot! \nPerformers must sign up for a timeslot in advance. No walk-up performances will be allowed. \nEvery talent needs an audience\, so invite your friends and family to sit back and experience some fun local talent! \nRULES \n\nTime slots will be given on a first come first serve basis\nTime slots will be a total of 15 minutes (this includes your set up and tear down time)\nYou may not go over the 15 minute time limit and may not reserve more than one time slot each month\nTime slots will open the month prior for each Open Mic Night\nUpon confirmed sign up with Jessica\, you will be given a list of AV available to you and will be asked to describe your set up\nIf necessary\, you will be asked to provide a set list prior to your performance\nNO profanity\, vulgar language\, or religious/political references are allowed\nTalent must show up at least 15 minutes prior to their designated time slot (This ensures smooth transitions if we are running ahead or behind schedule)\nYou are encourage to stay\, watch\, and encourage other talent\nNO SHOWS will be put on a banned list (If something comes up\, you must communication your cancellation to Jessica at least one hour prior to the start of the event\, or it will be considered a no show)\nIf you do not follow these rules or cause a disturbance\, you will be asked to leave\n\nOctober-April will be held in the Gallivan Stage Building \nMay-September will be held outdoors \nFollow us @saltlakecitygallivancenter  to stay up to date on our events and happenings!
